The 'Love on Top' singer publicly announced she and husband Jay-Z are expecting their first child together at the MTV Video Music Awards in August, and has now revealed exactly when the baby will be born and spoken of how "blessed" she feels.

I think because I've accomplished a lot of things for myself and I really know who I am, I didn't rush into anything. If it's any time, right now is the time, and I'm so happy."

Beyonce has previously revealed how difficult it was to keep her pregnancy a secret and conceal her baby bump, adding she is now "proud" to show it off to the world.

She explained: "I am having so much fun, it has been the most fun time now that it has been announced.

"It was really difficult to conceal. But now I can be proud and excited about it, I'm having so much fun shopping - it's great!"
